Welcome to Vamio.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Vamio mobile application, website, and related services (“Vamio”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By creating an account or using Vamio, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Vamio
Vamio is a social discovery platform designed to help adults discover local activities, create plans, join plans, connect with like-minded people, and participate in real-world experiences.
Vamio provides a platform for users and approved hosts to organise and discover events and activities. Vamio is not responsible for the actions, behaviour, or conduct of users, hosts, venues, or third parties.
2. Eligibility
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be legally able to enter into binding agreements.
- Provide accurate account information.
- Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
You agree not to:
- Share your account with others.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
- Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes.
- Circumvent bans, suspensions, or restrictions.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you upload to Vamio, including:
- Profile information
- Photos
- Messages
- Event details
- Comments and other submissions
By uploading content, you grant Vamio a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, store, and process that content solely for the operation of the service.
You must only upload content that you have the right to use.
5. Plans, Events and Activities
Users may create public or private plans.
Hosts may create events, activities, and venue-based experiences.
Vamio does not organise, supervise, endorse, guarantee, or verify any plan, event, venue, or participant.
Participation in any activity is entirely at your own risk.
Users are responsible for exercising good judgment and taking appropriate safety precautions.
6. Safety
Vamio is designed to support safe real-world social discovery.
However, we cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, or behaviour of any user.
You acknowledge that:
- Meeting new people involves inherent risks.
- You are responsible for your own decisions and personal safety.
- Emergency services should always be contacted directly when required.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse others.
- Post illegal, offensive, discriminatory, or harmful content.
- Promote violence, fraud, or unlawful activities.
- Spam users or send unsolicited communications.
- Upload malware, malicious code, or harmful content.
- Interfere with the operation of the platform.
- Collect or misuse personal information belonging to others.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
8. Host Accounts
Approved hosts may create and manage venue profiles and events.
Hosts are responsible for:
- Ensuring information is accurate.
- Operating lawfully.
- Complying with applicable regulations.
- Managing their events responsibly.
Vamio reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or revoke host status at its discretion.
9. Intellectual Property
The Vamio name, logo, branding, software, design, and platform content are owned by Vamio or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the service without written permission.
10. Third-Party Services
Vamio may integrate with third-party services including:
- Apple
- Firebase
- Mapping providers
- Analytics providers
Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.
11. Service Availability
We strive to keep Vamio available and functioning properly.
However, we do not guarantee:
- Continuous availability
- Error-free operation
- Uninterrupted access
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vamio shall not be liable for:
- User conduct
- Events or activities organised through the platform
- Personal injury
- Property damage
- Loss of data
- Loss of profits
- Indirect or consequential damages
Your use of the service is at your own risk.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vamio, its owners, officers, affiliates, and partners from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your content
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your interactions with other users
14. Termination
You may stop using Vamio and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- These Terms are violated.
- Required by law.
- Necessary to protect users or the platform.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
Continued use of Vamio after changes are published constitutes acceptance of those changes.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which Vamio operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
