2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when creating and using your account, including your name, email address, age and age-confirmation information, profile information, bio, interests, photos, trust badge status, plan details, messages and safety/reporting information.
If you choose to verify your phone number, we process your phone number for verification and account security purposes.
Vamio may also process technical identifiers associated with your account or device, including app installation identifiers and notification tokens, together with information about how you use Vamio where required to operate, secure and provide the service.
For Hosts, we may collect venue name, address, map coordinates, opening hours, logo, venue images, category, application details, contact information and billing status.
3. Location and plan information
Vamio uses location-related information to support city-based discovery, public plans, Travel Mode, Host venue profiles and map-based features.
Depending on the feature you use and the permissions you grant, location information may include your selected city or place and, where required for location or place-search features, more precise device location information.
Vamio stores location information relevant to features you choose to use, such as your profile city, Travel Mode location, public plan locations and Host venue locations. Vamio does not maintain a continuous history of your device location.
Venue addresses and public plan locations may be visible to other users when relevant to a public plan or approved Host profile.
Location and place-search features may use third-party mapping services. Those providers may process search terms, IP addresses and location coordinates in order to provide mapping and place-search functionality.
4. Payments and subscriptions
Host subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. Vamio does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe may process payment details, billing information, subscription status and related fraud prevention information under its own privacy terms.

6. Firebase, mapping and technical services
Vamio uses Firebase and related Google services for authentication, database and file storage, server-side functionality, push notifications and other technical services required to operate the app.
These services may process technical information such as app and device identifiers, notification tokens, device and operating-system information, IP address and service-request information where required to provide, secure and maintain Vamio.
Vamio also uses Google Maps Platform and Google Places for location, venue and place-search features. When these features are used, Google may process information including search terms, IP addresses and latitude/longitude coordinates in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
We do not use this information to sell personal information or to track users across apps or websites for advertising purposes.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users, or to enforce our Terms.
8. User content and visibility
Some information you choose to publish may be visible to other users, such as profile details, public plans, Host profiles, venue information and public plan attendance context. Private messages are not public, but may be reviewed when necessary for safety, support, moderation or legal reasons.
9. Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Vamio, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and enforce our agreements. Users can delete their account from within the app or contact us for support. Some records may be retained where legally required, including payment, fraud prevention, safety and compliance records.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact support@getvamio.com.
